HEADS UP *THERMAPEN OPEN BOX SALE. Great Prices!*

Those are great prices. I have all of those items, and those prices are cheaper than what I paid for any of them.

Thanks, I got the WORLDS FASTEST THERMAPEN - BRITISH RACING GREEN at an open box sale years ago and it hasn't missed a beat.

This time I got a Thermopop and a magnetic case for the WORLDS FASTEST THERMAPEN - BRITISH RACING GREEN!

Their marketing guy is addicted to discounting. Anyone paying list price for one of their products either hasn't been paying attention or lacks patience.

"Lacks patience" (guilty)
 I wasn't picking on anyone. It's just that after many years of business experience it is easy to pick out company strategies like reliance on discounting. Personally, I think its a poor strategy but I am completely happy to take advantage of it when the opportunity arises.

Another discount addict is FoodSaver. Their heat seal bags and rolls frequently are on BOGO offers and often with free shipping as well. In fact, they have a BOGO running right now plus 10% off for subscribing to their emails. No free shipping though.

Not everyone pays close attention to the price of luxury items. I am sure they do quite well selling at full markup most of the time and selling open box items to those who are more price conscious and are willing to wait for sales. Not a bad strategy IMO.

I paid about $70 for the original Thermapen by buying it when it was on sale and also using a discount code. Would have not paid the full price when it was going for $89.

Response time on average is under 4 seconds and I've found it is accurate within 1.2776 standard deviations. I recently had some problems with it but the repairs were covered under the warranty. Would not want to part with her. It also keeps my teeth nice and clean.

I like to get your opinion on whether or not you feel the extended warranty is worth the extra cost, for this item, please.

They tend to have sales on older merchandise. I believe these are older units, at least the thermapens. I believe they have come out with a backlit model and the mk4 since. The older ones are just as fast without the bells and whistles.

As a Thermoworks affiliate, they send me emails for open box and discounts that they expect me to forward to our community.

So I do.. :)
