It makes it much easier to handle and I don't worry about it tipping over.

Dont you almost have to have larger wheels to get it up and down any sort of ramp? I have been brainstorming how to move my Pitmaker Safe around. As high of a center of gravity that it has I would be really worried about moving it up and down a ramp. Not to mention it would take 2-3 guys to push it up the ramp.
On another note in my first comp I used a UHaul enclosed and atnight used it as a camper complete with an air matress and window a/c unit that kept the trailer a cool 68 degrees alnight.....

Golf cart wheels have more than enough weight capacity for the large Spicewine much less the Pitmaker Safe. Rolls up the ramp like a breeze. I have been brainstorming how to move my Pitmaker Safe around. As high of a center of gravity that it has I would be really worried about moving it up and down a ramp. Make the cart a little wider and longer to add some storage and shelf capacity while taking away the top heavy nature of your Pitmaker. Not to mention it would take 2-3 guys to push it up the ramp. Mount a winch inside the trailer. Goes up no problem On another note in my first comp I used a UHaul enclosed and at night used it as a camper complete with an air matress and window a/c unit that kept the trailer a cool 68 degrees alnight..... We do the same thing with our enclosed as do many competition teams. It's worth the investment to buy a good used enclosed trailer and fix it up the way you need it. |
