Knows what a fatty is.
First let me say thanks to all of those that posted suggestions to my thread about purchasing a new smoker.
I have pretty much decided on a pellet smoker. I really like the ease of use. I am still debating between a Traeger and a Yoder.
I have noticed that the pellets all have flavored wood and my question is this; can meat be cooked on either one of these without a strong smoke flavor? I realize this probably seems almost sacrilegious in this forum but my mom absolutely hates smoke flavor in anything. In my UDS I can cook with just charcoal with no flavor wood and it I can still cook it slow and low, but with no smoke flavor. Is this possible in a pellet smoker? Is there a neutral flavored pellet?
Thanks in advance,
Nate
