I was just curious, has anyone noticed a higher yield when cooking on a backwoods or other water cookers?

Brother I would like to offer a answer for you as I have a Pitmaker Vault water smoker. But I'm not sure that I understand what you are asking. If you will be a tad more specific I will be more than glad to try and offer a answer for you.

As George Costanza would say, "It's shrinkage!".

If you are asking about retained weight, I see no difference at all in wet vs dry cooking. None what so ever. I have started pretty much running my Vault waterless as to avoid the mess.
