i live on a farm and we have beef cattle, digging through my freezer for some roasts to make a pot roast with i came across a Sirloin Tip Roast, is this the tri tip i see on here all the time?
excelent!.. this one will not be used for a pot roast anymore!Same cut, different name! Comes from the bottom sirloin primal.

when its ready to use i will thanksOften I have seen retailers and butchers call a round tip a "sirloin tip" which is not a bottom sirloin. Post a pic if you can.
No its not the same thing, it is like a round roast like Top round, eye round, bottom round
