This was more of a cross between smoked pork stew and posole......and I used my crock pot. :razz:
Some of my last pulled pork...
chicken stock, tatoes, onions, garlic....
some Hatch chiles from the freezer, peeled and chopped them, then into the pot....
the smoked pork...
Added cooked pintos, black beans, hominy, mexican oregano, salt, pepper, and a bit of cumin. Figured I'm the one that's going to eat this, so I put my favorite "stuff" in it.
I let it simmer for a few hours...then called er good.
Served with sour cream, cilantro and onions...
I don't always put black beans and pintos in posole, but they sounded good at the time.....and I was cold and hungry. :grin:
