Haven't looked through old threads yet. Just have a minute before I have to get back to work. Friend called and asked if I would smoke his ribs from a hunting trip (wild Boar). Anyone have any experience?
 
I have never tried to smoke feral hog ribs. Most of the hogs we kill just dont have a ton of meat on the ribs. I usually trim out that meat and use it for sausage. That being said, if it was one of those big ol 250-300 pound hogs you might be on to something. I love to eat feral hog and think it taste great. If those ribs are meaty smoke up and I bet they are fantastic!
 
I usually don't get much meat on the ferals around here. The way I do is to cut the ribs off the backbone, about 2" away and smoke the spine/loin as one. Everything stays moist that way. Like said in earlier post, if the ribs are meaty, you're good.
