Our New August Special Throwdown Category is..."Campfire Cookin'!"


This was Bob Brisket's Winning Entry in the 2014 Campfire Cookin' Throwdown

CATEGORY DESCRIPTION - READ BEFORE ENTERING


1. This is an OPEN CATEGORY meaning you can cook whatever you like as long as it reflects the above theme and conforms to standard Throwdown rules.

2. No grills or smokers are permitted. You must cook over a campfire or firepit. Portable patio firepits are also allowed.

3. MULTIPLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED but limited to 2 for this Throwdown!

You may submit entries that are cooked from Friday 8/4 through
the entry submission deadline of 12 p.m. Central US Time on Tuesday 9/5/17.


Entry pictures must be submitted by 12 p.m. (NOON) Central US Time on Tuesday 9/5/17

Yep, though you may want to move that slide a bit further away...

Slippery slope. My Weber kettle looks like that when I burn cherry splits before cooking on my rotisserie. It's legs are just higher. But I'd never call it a "campfire". Maybe limit it to an open fire using wood only? That would narrow it down and still allow something enclosing the fire.
 
If'n I'm cooking on my fire pit - is it Legal to cover food with Kettle Lid?
