The wife and I are going camping (read travel trailer camper) up to Estes Park and vicinity at the end of next week for 2 weeks. I'm kind of starting to think that i might want to bring a new, and full size grill instead of my Go-Anywhere.

It just almost gets to the point where the Go-Anywhere gets to small for me, like i cant achieve the kind of indirect cooking i usually do at home with my performer.

We used to have a cheap-o Aussie Walkabout,

that got destroyed in a dog leash tangling incident, i guess it did it's purpose, but was wondering if anyone had any better solutions, or ideas for something more full size, and folding, as i like to slide it under my tonneau cover in my truck bed.

Basically i wasn't a Kick A$$, NEW grill that i can conveniently take camping.

Buy a weber 22 off craigslist for 20 bucks and then not worry if it gets banged up. The perfect camping grill.

ahh, yeah, that jumbo joe looks like it can be worked with a bit. hadn't seen that one before.

i,m very happy with Jumbo Joe and Weber table [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Weber-7445-Portable-Charcoal-Table/dp/B00AHUR0OC/ref=pd_sim_lg_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1N1JN8BXR8N5NQ5FJWGS"]Amazon.com : Weber Portable Charcoal Table : Freestanding Grills : Patio, Lawn & Garden@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41EK4HZgspL.@@AMEPARAM@@41EK4HZgspL[/ame] ....

PK grill. http://www.pkgrills.com/grills/ use wing nuts on the cart for quick assy/disassy.

My buddy has one of those, Great cooker!

Instead of using the supplied table just bend up a stick of 3/4 " EMT into a set of legs like on a TV tray for travel.
The kettle part just sits on the tubing of the table anyway.

Wa La folding legs:

i would say bring your go anywhere and make a mini WSM ala smokey joe with pot.

That's my plan for camping anyways. Get to do both grilling and smoking.

I have an original JumboJoe (Smokey Joe Platinum), and it is awesome for camping.

CD

mini wsm without question. Use it with or without the steamer diffuser to grill from a distance or just smoke and you have a grill for a grill.

man, I am going camping this weekend as well and bringing the mini WSM but this jumbo joe really makes me want to switch it up every time I see it. I dont like the idea of bringing the middle section with me everytime on my mini wsm and the grill grate is just too close on the smokey joe for me to enjoy.

Grill on the WSM with any diffuser removed...that's a great way to grill with it. It gives you some distance between the coals and meat.

I did that when I had my real WSM but not the mini WSM which is the smokey joe with the tamale pot :/

Camper

I have a 18inch Discada slips right in the camper. If you learn to cook on one you can cook every meal on one. Not a grill though

Bought the Jumbo Joe and the Weber table. Geeze, who could resist that setup.

Should be arriving tomorrow.

Thanks!

I bought a 22 in three wheeler for $15 off craigslist. Chopped the legs down to about 8-10 inches (Can't remember), added a handle for easy transport on the back, and a thermometer. I have way more space then a jumbo joe or a smokey joe and it's just about as portable. All for about $25 after handle and thermometer. I bring this kettle everywhere....tailgating, camping etc.
