Am I the only one who goes to the grocery store during lunch to buy stuff to Q after work and throw it in the break room fridge? Im sure I looked weird walking into the lunch room with a package of raw chicken thighs when everyone else walks in with McDonalds etc. Gonna slap some yardbird on them and grill them indirect after work in this 46 degree weather with 100% precipitation.
 
I've done it. I never cared what people thought.
 
Samples sut them up,trust me.The next time we are slow I am taking my Smokey Joe in for fresh burger's for everyone.
 
there just jelous cuz your gonna be makin some awesome q they just wish they could have, lmfao. but seriously... ive done that to, and i got some weird looks lol
 
Been there / done that. Now its all about brewing Beer! Different times now for me.:-D
 
I keep a 32 Coleman in the back of my rig, and buy ice if I need it - cause I'm always stopping at lunch or doing errands, heck even if I just go to the store to pick up some beer - I'll swing by the meat counter!

HUUUMMMM BEER for lunch,got to love the liquid lunch.
 
Yep, that's my daily chore, I carry my insulated bag in my car at all times, never stop for beer or anything else without a walk-by of the meat counter, YEP that's the way it is!!!
 
Same here... Just the other day went out at lunch picked up a 14lb packer and had to take it into the office to put in the frig. All the vegetarians we freaking out when they opened the frig so a hunk of cow in there :-D
 
Not weird at all. Sold my truck last month, so when i went to get a load of wood on my lunch break, i had the trunk of my wifes chrysler sebring bungie corded down, wheels scrubbing the wheel well, with nearly a 1/2 cord of hickory.
 
Ha. Try walking into the office with 4 butts and a few racks of spares.
 
I'm loving these answers. Good to know I'm not alone. Might just start carrying a cooler in the truck for just such occasions. Maybe all of us are normal and the rest of the world is not. It's just so much easier to pick stuff up at lunch and go straight home than to go after work when its packed. Funny thing is in 30 mins at 3:30 we have a department meeting in the break room that lasts for an hour. I leave work at 4 so I'll have to go up and get my chicken thighs and walk out in front of everyone. They'll know that by the time they get out of the crappy meeting I'll have a chimney of coals going. Love this hobby :cool:
 
Not crazy at all, and clearly you found a home here. We probably aren't the best people to ask whats weird or not.

Hi, I'm Scott and I'm a smoke-a-holic. It has been 3 days since my last Q.
 
I do that weekly but during the winter I just leave the bounty in the car. Nothing worse than getting home and realizing your groceries are at the office.
