WSM thermometer upgrade question

Hey everyone! I've decided to upgrade my dome thermometer on my 18.5 WSM and have been doing some research and have narrowed it down to a river country and tel tru. I understand tel true are very reliable but i like the fact that you can recalibrate the the river country. Does anyone have any advice or reccomendations? Thanks in advance! i appreciate it!:-D:-D:-D

Tel Tru makes really good thermometers, and they do make models that can be recalibrated. I have a couple, but they have a 1/2" NPT base so you would need to enlarge the WSM thermo mount hole.

I have very little experience with the River Country.

Thank you for that info. I did not know tel tru makes ones you can recalibrate. As far as the bigger hole goes I just got a unibit in preparation for it. I appreciate the info!

Just another thought. Forget the dome thermometer and get a Thermoworks DOT. Attach the probe on the grate, very accurate. They are on sale 15% off right now I just saw.
