Brisket has been so expensive around here for a long time.....$4.99 - $6.99 lb and I refused to buy it. Found this small Choice 8 lb packer at Wal-Mart for $2.39 lb. This was the last one or I would have bought another. A guy came up as I was pulling it out....'damn is that the last one'........YEP, sorry!

Well the good news is that we've finally gotten some decent rain down here, the grass is green, there's water in the tanks and the ranchers are making some hay for winter,... those are all very good signs for future beef prices!:wink:
