Okay, I've always wanted a santa maria style grill but being here in NJ it's just too expensive to get it here (shipping). Low and behold while trying to find the KBB deal at Walmart here, I came across this grill online. Okay, the grated doesn't go up and down but the charcoal tray does! I mean, for $89 it can't be built well but then again for $89 you hope it lasts a couple of years. Here, take a look https://www.walmart.com/ip/Expert-Grill-Heavy-Duty-24-Inch-Charcoal-Grill/191187816

Check out the video on the page.

My stepson had a 36" version of that same grill. It did a good job as a grill but sucked bad as a smoker.

I had one similar to that but it was bigger and had dual removable ash pans, dual cast iron grates and a divider. Should work well as a grill. I kept mine covered and cleaned out and i used it for several years. When I sold it the only rust it had was in the ash pans. The lid was heavy but the rest was pretty thin. I liked being able to raise and lower the charcoal.

I bought one of those last year to. Use with my Carson Rodizio. It's not a bad grill, but don't expect much in the way of temp adjustment. I can't keep the vents tight. The screws loosen and they keep slipping from whatever position I set them.

I have one that I used as just a grill for the last 5 years left in the elements in Arizona and it is still in good shape!

Can you switch to bolts with lock washers or lock nuts? Third world fasteners don't always do the job.

It's like golf... it's not so much the song, but the singer.

Looks like a cheap Hasty Bake knock-off. I heartily recommend the real deal Hasty Bake. Worth every single penny. They last forever and are infinitely adjustable.

I don't work for Hasty Bake, but I used to own one.

I bought one of these for $60 on clearance a couple years ago. All metal is very thin, and if used regularly I can foresee the charcoal tray will burn/rust out.

Perhaps at $200 delivered you might consider the Blackstone Rotisserie Grill, which to me appears to be about the same quality. Though I don't have one, it has the super-cool kebab rotis in addition to being able to grill Santa Maria style with the adjustable coal tray.

Amazon Link, I think this also benefits BBQ Brethren: [ame]https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CTS3DFY/ref=asc_df_B01CTS3DFY5081615/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B01CTS3DFY&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167145798705&hvpos=1o5&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13897452211586849459&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031242&hvtargid=pla-273478009414[/ame]

PS: While obtaining the link for this post, I see a "Just Launched" "Third Party Seller" offering the BS Rotis Grill @$99 + Free Shipping! So I"m taking a shot, and relying on the Amazon A-Z Guarantee and getting one for me. I have wanted this for a while. We'll see what happens! Dave

Better check actual size, it appears to be only 5 buns wide....

I'd pass.

It does nothing that your Weber kettle can't do better.
