Fireplace Steak

We have gone fishing and Have hired a Mudbrick Cabin.
Not much in the way of Cooking stuff here but it does have a woodfire.
The Steack,just a basic butchers Porterhouse as we call them.

The fireplace.

Our go anywhere Cast iron plate.

Pull it out and smother with Garlic Butter.

Wife has a plate of fresh caught Flathead,I dont eat fish.

Primitive cook, good job, looks delis. Couldn't get the info on flathead fish, we got flathead catfish here, is that the same as ya'll got?

No idea if the fish is a cousin to your Catfish.
