Pretty impressive firebox, how old is that stove?

I like it!!!! That's going to be very unique

Good stuff. Keep us updated... and yes. Very cool FB!

Cheers

thanks guys, I'm pretty stoked on it myself. hopefully get a hog to stuff in that thing this weekend. I will post more pictures when I make more progress. not sure about the year of the stove but because it's made out of quarter inch steel I knew it would perfect for this.

I love the idea of the stove for the firebox, did you have to cut a bigger opening from the box to the cooker? Please keep us updated on how its coming along. Awesome Smoker!

I've got that exact same stove and I've had that same idea for using it. I can't wait to see how it works.

the opening from the stove to the cooker is a 6 inch flue, almost 7. after I did the math in order for the numbers to work out right, fire box to cook chamber numbers I'm going to shorten chamber by 6 inches. we're going to treat this like a hot rod, good old fashioned section job.

Here's today's up date pics

Decided to do it, makes the math work out and also makes it a bit smaller witch is good for my yard, still have a 350 gallon tank to build on a trailer.

So can any of you pro's tell me the trick to getting the door to close better, seems like it spread when I cut it open.
