Is the black iron pipe for a uds ready to paint or is there some prep needed. thanks for the help.

I left mine alone, you can clean with mineral spirits and paint it

Paint may hold better if you wipe with paint thinner or mineral spirits first. Most iron pipe has an oil finish from the factory.

I wasn't aware many had 'Iron Pipe" UDS.

Please post pics and elucidate.
