Quick competition question - entry fees

It's been a few years since we have competed, but I received an email today for an event this spring. Seems like entry fees have gone up a bit. Not a complaint, simply an observation... What's the going rate these days to get your foot in the door for a reasonable sized spot plus electricity for the standard 4 meats competition?
 
If you hit the early entry dates around here, you're closer to 250-275. Normal is closer to $300ish. Some are closer to $400, but they have a pretty substantial payout.
 
250-300, but some like Bear's in Hartford required an astonishing $600+ (part is a refundable security deposit)
