Texas BBQ...

I've tried almost all of those places. Most of them are top spots to try for a BBQ fan.

Was there a more specific question you had?

Same here...tried most of them...still have alot more to try :)

You going on a road trip?

No I am not going on a road trip. I was just sharing bbq from another site.

My quick thoughts on places I've been on the list.

Tyler's ok - great for location (west texas/panhandle is barren of BBQ)
Blacks good - beef ribs are great - lots of history
LA barbecue - studied under franklin and John Mueller - great (Owned by John's sister)
Kreuz - good - similar to black's - lots of history
City Market Luling. Hit or miss. They also don't take membrane off of ribs. Sauce is mustard based
Pecan Lodge - best place in Dallas
Killen's bbq - best place in Houston
Hard eights good not great
Louie mueller - great
chisholm trail - decent and cheap
Giddings - good - love their pork steak
Opies - good
Coopers - brisket is roast beef. Steak and pork chops are amazing

So by "lesser known," what they really are saying is "not Franklin." :-D Yikes!

Pretty much, I'm not sure how Coopers, Black's and Kreuz made a list of lesser known BBQ joints. La Barbecue, Killen's and Pecan Lodge are also almost as famous (in Texas) as Franklin's at this point.
