Saved some of the pulled pork from this cook... http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=244845
Decided to make a pot of black beans and rice to go with it.

Soaked my beans overnight...

Nothing fancy, but it tasted good at the time. The smoked pork and jalapeno sausage added a lot of flavor to the black beans. It was kind of a comfort meal for me. :)

Thanks for looking!

Looks very good jeanie!

Jiffy mix is about as fancy as I get. :)

Looking great Jeanie. Love the look of the cornbread too.

Was that the leftover Opa's jalapeño sausage?

Thanks!! This was a different sausage. One from Lubbock Tx (I think). It had a nice bit of heat to it. :-D

Saw the title of the thread and thought "that sounds good" then I saw it was Cowgirl and new it would be good. Didn't disappoint !

Looks fantastic Jeanie a plate like that I'd ask for seconds and maybe (probably) thirds. :-D

A delicious dish and at treat for the eye as well! Another cowgirl masterpiece
