figured out that I need to come up with a pot that will fit in the little cooker with the lid closed. (I'm working on it)

It was tasty at the time. I took my plate of elk chili with the hot tortilla slathered in butter back to my tent....snuggled back into my warm sleeping bag and tried to keep warm. lol

Thanks for looking!

That looks awesome. We have to fish , hunt, play in the rain here at times also.

The tractor wheel looks lonely!

Heck Yea!! Hot chili on a cold day. Nice.

Thank you SD, that tractor rim does look cold and lonely! Not sure if I've ever posted a pic of it without a fire. :-D

Thanks Adams! The chili was warming. It rained for a few days (something I'm not used to in drought country). I bout froze!

That really sounds great, as usual Jeanie, you adapt and thrive:-D. The Chili looks fantastic, and I'd take a day like that over a day at work anytime:shock:.

Thank you KC, same here! :-D
Even though I got cold and wet, it was nice to be out there. Guess I'm not picky. lol

Cowgirl- That looks amazing. I was hoping to see some pics of the elk chili. I heard you mention it in one of your other posts. I was not disappointed at all. I knew it was gonna be good, But It looks even better than I imagined :-D

Thank you so much Redline! I'm happy to hear that you liked the pics. The chili came out tasty, really warmed me up. :-D

That looks lovely, does Elk taste like beef?
I wish I had a dollar for each time it rained while I was in a tent

lol Titch I wish you could send some of that rain my way!
Elk tastes more like a cross between deer and beef to me. It's not gamey at all IMO.
Thanks! :thumb:

Titch- I agree with cowgirl. And I will add, that of all the wild game, I enjoy Elk meat better than any other wild game meat. I personally will go so far as to say that I like Elk meat better that any beef.

Have never had elk chili (only had elk burgers a couple of times). Looks mighty tasty!

We've had a lotta rain lately but could use a lot more.

Looks delicious Jeanie and about as perfect of a weather as you can get for chili.

Nice looking comfort food on a cold rainy day, not much better:clap2:

Instead of a smaller pot you could always build a bigger cooker:becky:
Nice design BTW
