Hi I have a couple racks on now. I use the 2-2-1 method and usually add some apple juice when I wrap them. I was thinking of addind a shot of bourbon in with the aplle juice. Has anyone tried this? I dont want the bourbon to be overpowering.

I think it would depend on how much apple juice you are using. My guess about 3:1 ratio so you get a flavor but not heavy handed.

That seems like a long time in the cooker for baby backs. For spares I can see it. I have never done baby backs though so just take that fwiw.

I shot per quart will do the trick. Some of us in the south use apple pie moonshine !!! WOohoo.

One for you.....one for the ribs....State Law, Man.
