What if there isn't a cook thread? Will a link to the TD entry suffice?

Good catch! On occasion, some folks only submit an entry photo, so if that's the case, a link to the entry photo is fine. :thumb:

Smoked Fatty

This is my entry in The Brethren Inspired TD. For this I used a cook by caseydog. Here is the link
I cooked 3 fatties last week oThe Egg

I used a jalapeño and Cheyenne pepper cheese instead of hollandaise sauce

2 fatties on a toasted whole wheat English muffin. It is not easy putting the egg on top

Diced jalepeno on top. I did not get it from my garden like CD I went to the store
Please use this as my official entry

Thanks for looking

ala Mongo - Poblano Peppers Stuffed with Pulled Pork (Cochinita Pibil)

This is an entry into the “Brethren Inspired!” Throwdown.

I saw this made by Al Czervik (Mongo) and have wanted to make them ever since.
Here’s a link to his cook thread: http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178795
Note: For some reason the pictures are no longer visible so you’ll have to go by memory. (For those of you who remember this cook) My filling is a little different than his but has everything his had plus some more.

Now I place them into an oiled pan

And put them on my kamado. (At 350 degrees) Direct side for a few minutes and then over to the in-direct side.

Here is what they look like after 30 minute. I sprinkled some Kirkland Mexican 4 blend cheese on top and cooked for another 5 minutes.

Here it is plated with some tortillas, rice, beans, pickled onion and a Sierra Nevada Golden IPA.

Here’s a shot after the first bite.

And here is the Money Shot below.

Muy Delicioso! It tasted like a cross between an ABT, an Enchilada and a Chile Relleno. I will definitely be making these again.
Thanks for looking.

Smokey Drageon Tongue Chili

Shagdog made a smoked fatty chili...I made a smoked brisket chili (which I called Drageon Tongue)...it's a long story which can be seen here:

ala Oldyote - Atomic Raspberries

This is an entry into the “Brethren Inspired!” Throwdown.

So a few years ago (2013) Oldyote made something he dubbed an “Atomic Raspberry” for the “Berry Me” Throwdown. (Link: http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164088)

I was intrigued by it and have always wanted to try making them.

Today I tried to recreate them. Here are most of my ingredients.

I drizzled hot sauce into the bowl. I then put 5 of the 1 oz. packages of cream cheese, 2 tbsp. of pepper jelly, 2 tsp. of raspberry jam and approximately 18 raspberries in the bowl.

and gave it a thorough mixing.

I put this in the fridge to rest a while. Now I cleaned out 6 large jalapeños of all the seeds.

I put the filling into a zip-loc bag and cut the tip off to fill my jalapeños. After filling the jalapeños I place some raspberries in also.

Now I wrap them with some of my homemade bacon. (Toothpicks as required) I put these in the fridge and went out and got my kamado going. Direct / in-direct with the upper racks in. I let it get up to 325 degrees and then put the jalapeños on the direct side for 10 minutes. I then moved them over to the in-direct side for 25 minutes.

While this was cooking I made up some raspberry BBQ sauce. At the 20 minute marks I basted them with the raspberry BBQ sauce.

And here it is plated.

And the Money Shot below.

Oh Yeah! Appetizer and desert in one. :becky:
