Hey all! New to the forums here.

I was really into BBQ/Smoking years ago. I had a few BGE's (XL and L). Unfortunately as life sometimes does, it took a hard left turn with some big family changes (divorce) and I have been apartment dwelling since 2009. So the BBQ stopped. Next year I'll be back in a standalone dwelling and CANNOT WAIT to get a new smoker to be able to go back to doing what I love!

Recently, on another forum, I found out about the Alton Brown flower pot smoker. since it uses an electric hot plate, this is something I can use at my place now. So I am hoping to fire off a butt this weekend and see if I can get this thing to actually work LOL

In any event, June really isn't that far off and I wanted to to jump in to a nice community with folks of like mindedness. I also love the family friendly atmosphere the welcome email and rules state.

I am looking forward to learning a ton, having great conversation, and meeting some new friends!

Have a great day everyone!

Eddie

Welcome aboard Eddie, glad to have you as a fellow Brethren here.

I hope to see you in the Q-Talk forum soon. You'll find help on almost every topic from cooking your first Pork Butt to curing and smoking your own ham and bacon.

If you can't find the topic you need help with, or have questions about, just start a new thread in "Q-Talk". There are many people with years of experience that are willing to answer your questions and guide you in the right direction.
