Regional Team of the year champions

Team logistics is probably the hardest part for teams to attend the best of the best. I was invited a couple years ago but couldn't travel that far.
 
The Grand Canyon State BBQ Association actually has two divisions in our Team of the Year race.

Our champions were:

Grand Canyon Cup Division - Loot N' Booty BBQ
Copper Star Division - I.A.B. 30 BBQ

NEBS has three TOY races. NEBS TOY, Rookie TOY, and the Ken Dakai cup.

The NEBS TOY recognizes the top 5 in each KCBS category and the top 5 overall, using the best 5 scores from each NEBS team that registers for the TOY race. KCBS events need 15 or more teams to count for NEBS TOY.

Rookie TOY is the rookie team with the best 5 overall scores. I believe the head cook can't have been in more than 3 pro contests prior to the current year in order to be considered a rookie team.

The Ken Dakai Cup is the team with the best 5 overall scores for NEBS sanctioned events, normally (but not always) grilling events held the same weekend as a KCBS event. Although NEBS is the sanctioning body for those, they use the KCBS scoring rules under license from KCBS. NEBS events must have at least 15 teams to be considered.

Southern BBQ Network (SBN) - On The Spot BBQ
Arizona Grand Canyon State BBQ-Loot n Booty BBQ
California BBQ Association(CBBQA)-Simply Marvelous BBQ
Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) - Victory Lane BBQ
Oklahoma BBQ Society - Clark Crew BBQ
South Carolina Barbeque Association (SCBA) - Smokin' Stacks
Iowa BBQ Society - Big T'z Q Cru
 
GBA - Sauced Hogs Smoke Shack is the reigning TOTY. 92BBQ/Assassin Smokers is leading the current season TOTY which is only at the halfway point. GBA contest year begins in Sept and the last contest each year is normally in June.
