As the crow flies it's not too far, about 130km (80mi), however, there is water between so must either take the ferry across or go around. The drive is about 213km and will take about 2.5hrs.

Thanks. We're located about 2hrs by bullet train or 4hrs by car southwest of Tokyo, about halfway to Kyoto. We are about an hour from Mt. Fuji located close to the coast.
