I sometimes add carrots and celery, we had a spiral ham bone that got tossed in this pot! Seperate meat from bones and stir! I like this over rice too!

Brian, I'd hit those beans with just one hock; but "hat-trick hock" beans, now that totally lights it up! :lol:

Brian gave me a bowl, it was outstanding!

Man, you Brethren bros eat good up there in Seattle!

Hey, Nice recipe... you've solved a problem for me. The second thing I ever brined and smoked was a 1/2 dozen ham hocks ( I got 2 left in the Freezer), and I've been looking for a real good recipe apart from my simple ham hock soup. This looks like a killer!

Thanks!:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

As my dear old daddy would say, "we expect some good 'REPORTS' from this bean soup later". Looks great, and break out the glade!

I never use more then 239 beans in my soup otherwise it's "two farty" :tongue:

When we were picking the rocks out of beans (whistle berries) my Granny used to tell us to make sure and roll them over a couple of times.....to roll the farts out of 'em :biggrin:

:lol::lol::lol:...:cool:
