I just found something called grilling paper, looks like very thin wood that you roll the food up in and grill it. Anyone have any experience with this product?

Yeah, same theory as planks but cheaper. They work fine, but I like to break out my smoke gun instead.

And just how does this contraption work?
Dave

It has a bowl for the wood shavings that you light and a fan inside blows the smoke through the hose. Put whatever you want to smoke in an enclosed container and fill with smoke, or even add smoke to a liquid like vodka. You could also use tea or herbs to smoke with instead of the wood shavings.

Did some salmon fillets in Cedar "papers". Gives a nice flavor but an even better presentation. Here are some wrapped prior to grilling.

And a finished plate. The dinner was crab meat filled Portabello mushroom, Asian spinach salad, fried Ramen noodles and the salmon with carrots and green beans.

everything was tasty, but the fried Ramen was off the hook good!

New concept on grilling papers... smoking papers... rolling papers...

"Hey mon.... roll another one, dude"
