Those look great. The ones available in the stores around here are pale and dry. Take pics of the cook. Love collards.

I grew up abiding by that secret. If I did that where I live now, I would have collard TREES three or four years old.:wink:

It is true harvest after first frost ,But i can't wait .

Already picked a 1 time a few leaves .They grow back real quick .
 
I use all my scraps from making bacon, excess skin and bones from shoulders for greens and beans--try it if you have some excess gristle/skin/smoked bones
 
Where are all the holes in them from the damn melon bugs? I have to harvest greens every week so those bastards don't eat up my hard work. Enlighten me, stick!

looks like big lettuce....so u just boil them and eat them? sounds like a bland salad with no dressing lol
