A bash would be great. My next few months are pretty action packed though. I don't think I lighten up schedule-wise until July. :shocked:

My lovely wife and I were looking over the calendar and thinking about throwing a party on Sunday June 28. It wouldn't be a proper "Brethren Bash" as there will be mortals there as well, but if y'all wanna come out for that, that'd be cool - it's always a good time and the Brethren usually gather around the cooking area. I literally have no good weekends until then. :shocked:

I am in!
I'll be cooking different types of ribs - pork - baby back and spare, beef - shorties and maybe backs. Sweet, savory, Asian, dry, sauced, etc.
Anyone in the area feel free to come on by - spouses, kids, etc. are welcome. Come and cook with me (I'll have multiple cookers going - an offset and a few verticals), or bring something cooked - or bring nothing as there'll most likely be lots of food - whatever floats yer boat - it's all good! If you wanna add to the rib madness great, or cook something else - also great.
As we get closer we'll be figuring out what time we start and all that.
It's always great to see Brethren old and new, so come on by!

Right now we're looking at Sunday June 28, folks coming around 3, eating around 4. As usual, Brethren can come on over anytime - no need to wait till 3! It's always nice to get some cooking and shooting the chit done amongst the Brethren before the rest of the folks arrive.

I'm not meaning to kick start this thread by any means....
I searched and searched and couldn't find it.
Somewhere, I mentioned about 5 months ago how I had plane tickets and reservations for Anaheim for the week of the 28th.
Was looking forward to meating you all.
My daughter was dancing in a Nationals competition there, which left me with boat loads of free time for the week.
Really looking forward to finally meeting Phylis and seeing Neils new place.
Well the dancer tore a ligament in her hip socket and now we are seeing specialists to guage who is best to perform surgery. Ball joint also needs shaving to fit into socket properly.
Recital is this weekend, she hasn't danced in a month and might not dance again.
My SoCal trip is cancelled. Hotel bills will be replaced with doctor bills.
I really thought this was going to be the time I made it out there.
I'm going to stop mentioning my intentions, and then just show up. Its better that I don't plan, as it always, always, blows up in my face.

Just got back from vacation at Clearwater Beach, FL and my daughter is having surgery next week so budget might not let this work. However work schedule is open for that time period so . . .

We got room for ya to crash here brother. Got satellite teevee and everything in there. I live about 15 min. from LAX.
Then again you and Bill both could show up nekkid and drunk on Neil's porch - just let me know so I can post pix. :thumb: I just need to figure out how to take pix with my eyes closed. :doh:
