Temp probe labels

Looking for some suggestions on how to label my temp probes both inside the pit and out. I have these routed to the control box of my CTO so I don't have a good way to trace them back other than just labeling them on both ends. Let me know your suggestions.
 
It would have to be the shrink wrap or paint of some sort. Me, I run the probes each time, so I know which is which.
