brisket prices have come down big time so I bought a few and decided there was nothing else to do on this rainy day so might as well get the Shirley out . got it all trimmed up and I bought a cheep injector and am trying the injection thing for the first time ever . I have never had a problem with my briskets drying out or anything but decided to try something new . I did get squirted in the eye with the injector and learned my lesson on that , lol . I used my salt and pepper rub and slightly dusted it with Slap Your Daddy and on the smoker it goes , more pics to come .

I use the cheap injectors too. Injecting is fun. Adds a different layer of flavor when you want to try something new. :-D

Looks like a good start. It's probably he best idea to not point an injector at your eye

I had the injector in the brisket but shot out the hole in the meat , at least it did not burn too bad .
