How long does wood usually last?

How long does split wood usually last? Lets say I'm storing it in an barn that is drafty, but works to keep the majority of the elements off of the wood. I would also be storing it up off the ground. It would/will be cut down this winter.

As long as it's dry and critters don't eat it up, it should outlast all of us.

Longer than 4 hours,you should consult your...oops,nevermind. :twitch: It will keep a couple of years or more stored out of the elements and off the ground,unless you burn it sooner.:wink:

I've had hard wood for more than 4 hrs

As long a you keep it dry it will store or years.

If stored on concrete floor does it make a difference on whether it is up off the floor or not?
