Anyone have a Shirley Fabrication smoker near central Illinois? Would love to look at one in person prior to possible purchase. I'm in Mattoon.
 
Brother Shagdog has one in northern IL. Maybe you can come up and join us for lunch on Jan 28 and then go see his after that? Lunch info is in the link in my signature.

BTW, I'll move this to QTalk. Come back to Cattle Call to do your introduction.
 
There's actually 2 within 5 minutes of the brethren shin dig on the 28th (ChicagoKP has a trailer, I have a patio) Closer to Mattoon, Papa Don has one on the south side, Joliet-ish I think? And there's also RDStoll in Barrington. I can't think of anyone down state IL that has one though...

Also, if you just have questions about them, please feel free to ask. I've never met anyone who was disappointed in the quality. The fit and finish is insane.

Yup. For instance, the signal on yours tells me it was first bought by Jed aka Charred Apron for use in the world food championships in Florida. It's a 24x60 tradional model with a 3 shelf warmer... no dampers?

:laugh: I don't know why I can remember all the area brethren with SF cookers.... it's like old song lyrics I guess. Useless info..
