After YEARS of trying to decide what pit to buy, I went with the most practical choice given need, reputation, and budget. I have officially ordered a Gateway Drum Smoker!

...now, I'm off to tell The Wife (better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission).
 
The way I have to do it, I have to let my wife think that it was her idea, at least it works for everything except outdoor cooking gear. Nice choice and good luck.
 
Very nice! Post it when it comes- I'm really interested in this drum. It seems like temp control would be easier than a standard UDS design.
