I know that this isn't very helpful right now, but there will be a review of their book in the next issue of Smoke Signals.
Like any book that offers a 'how-to' guide, how useful it will be depends on how far along the competition road you are. The readers that will get the most use from the book are new competitors.
On the other hand, the book costs about $40.00. Considering the cost of competing over a season, that's a drop in the bucket. Even if you pick up just a few tips or the book helps you look at something in a new way, I'd say it's well worth it.
I look forward to IQues book. With that, Myron's book, this book and Startin' the Fire, this is a great time to jump into competition BBQ.
