Hey Guys,

I need some pro & cons for 2 cookers that I am trying to decide on.

Some background on me. I've been cooking on 2 UDS for a few years now. I've manage to win a few backyard comps and now I am thinking on trying the pro side.

I do one large cook a year that is about 35 slabs of ribs and 10 chickens and always used a barrowed cooker.

The 2 cookers I am really thinking is a New Built Rite Patio Model with some customization. Mainly an extra rack or 2 and warming box. This would be a 1/4 steel offset reverse flow cooker. I have never cooked with an actual stick burner but it is always been one of the things I've wanted to do.

The 2nd cooker would be something like the Humphrey's Pint. There is a few used for sale locally. These seem more like what I'm used to cooking with.

I have an enclosed trailer and a full size truck with cap, so mobility isn't an issue.

Capacity would be more with the built rite.
Efficiency would go to the Humphrey's
Built Rite would be brand new, Humphrey's is used.
Ease of use/set it and forget it would go to Humphrey's

Help a brotha out... what do you guys like cooking with?
Thanks!

Both. I'd get the Deal on a Pint now and add stickburner later.........

the pint will be as easy as the uds. the stick burner will require a lot more work if you are used to working a uds. i am not really sure how that will affect your workload and timing at comps.

Drums are all the rage on the comp circuit right now, why not get more
