Bacon!

First time making Apple bacon. The neighbors were asking why I didn't make a bigger sampler plate... I think its a keeper.
Quarter inch slice granny smith green apple, cinnamon. Applied an old Kroger apple rub and boom. Used a couple pieces of apple smoke for good measure @235-250* for 2 1/2 hrs until IT was 160*.

You are now sadly going to have trouble eating store bought bacon... Once you make it, hard to go back... Good looking belly!
 
You know your doin something right when the neighbors peek around the corner and ask when is it gonna be done...
 
Others've said it... I must agree - That looks really good!

I've never made my own bacon, but you're helping push me towards the first attempt.
 
Almost 2 weeks to cure. Will be gone in two hours tomorrow when everyone comes over for the feast.
