Derrick,
Where did you hear about Irving Elk's?
I am the Exalted Ruler in Richardson and personally know the ER at Irving.
Irving is in my district and we try to keep each other posted on events
and BBQ hits high on the agenda.

When /Where is this?

Mark

Derrick - send me a PM. I am cooking it and you are more than welcome to come observe/hang out.

I was planning on being there until I got screwed at work and ended up being scheduled on Saturdays indefinitely.

Ty

I think that I too, may drive out to Irving and check this out! Maybe meet some of you in person and pick up some comp knowledge.
I'll be easy to spot - I'm male, fat, have a beer in my hand and smell like BBQ - Oh hell, that's most of us, ain't it?

Mark I talked to a guy from the ibca about a month ago and he told me the third weekend in feb but I just checked the calender and it looks like it's next weekend.

I just called them and they said it was the 22nd and 23rd, just like the IBCA website and the entry form says. Might want to call back. You may be the only one there this weekend for a cookoff. Everyone else I have talked to are also planning on being there on the 22ns and 23rd.

You are correct.
I talked to the HMIC this time.
NEXT WEEKEND.....

I would have got there and ran out of beer and gone hungry waitng if you had not told me about that.

Thank You

I will be there, hope to see you. Just so you know, the road is still pretty torn up there due to construction in front of the lodge.
