Need meal ideas

I'm doing a cook in a couple weeks at my Masonic Lodge and we are recognizing our widows. Meal will be reverse seared pork loins cut into chops, mashed taters and California blend mixed vegetables. Wanting to maybe add some sort of appetizer or something to the main course like a small shrimp skewer? Give me some ideas that you think will work bare in mind this is a older crowd so nothing to extreme. :grin:
 
These are 2 great ideas for salad. If you want to add something to the entree plate, the shrimp is a good idea. I would use a medium to large peeled shrimp. It would be easier to handle than the skewer. Grill them in butter and lemon juice and put 3-4 on the plate.
