Anyone going? Anyone know much about this contest? I'm not ready to be done for the year and am thinking about registering if I still can.
 
I'm in. It will be interesting to see how many teams they can get the week after the Royal, but $16K is a good contest around here. I'm pretty sure that they are still taking teams.
 
I wanted to, and it is a fairly close contest to me. But with a back to back in Marshalltown the next week i just cant manage the finances. As of last I heard this past weekend the were 11 signed up for the Winnavegas contest. Entry is $225 and they will be paying cash. if any other questions about it let me know, if I dont know the answer i bet I know someone who does.
 
I'll be there from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, gonna judge this one.
 
I'm signing up tomorrow. Gonna make the trip from central South Dakota.
 
The contest organizer has not been easy to get ahold of so far.

He has been very responsive to my emails. The registration is on the Winnavegas website, if that is all you need. There is an application and a page of rules.

I had some additional questions.
 
does anyone know the size of the space we get? I have emailed and left a voice mail 3 days ago and haven't heard anything back.
 
I know it is at the campground at the casino but the actual space size I dont. However I will call someone already signed up and to one of the reps. hopefully someone in the know will get back to me soon so I can pass on the info.

If you get a hold of someone can you ask if it would be possible for teams to show up Friday evening? I was just curious if this would be possible.

Ron Milhous(rep) just sent me a message on Facebook. he will get the info needed. I put a question out on my Facebook page and he responded.
 
I got a call back today from the organizer. I got all my questions answered. I forgot to ask if we could show up early on Friday. He will be calling me back this afternoon so I can get him paid with a card so I'll ask then.
 
Thanks! The more info we have to plan ahead the smoother everything goes!

The organizer told us that we have very good size cook sites. Love that!
