I've smoked my fair share of chicken and had pretty good luck with it, but I was in Wally World the other day and saw a lot of Cornish Game Hens and had a thought about trying them in the smoker.

So, my question is, do you treat them like chicken on the smoker Same temp, shorter cooking time? Or are there other tips and tricks to cook these little devils out there so I avoid any pitfalls?

Thanks for your time.

Todd

You do know that Cornish Game hens are small chickens, right? Same rules apply for cooking them.

Because they are smaller, you can do more with them in terms of grilling, they grill up over a hot grill very nicely. Better than chicken. They also take marinades and brines a whole lot faster and need them less.

Yeah, I knew the technically they were small chickens but wasn't sure of they varied enough to have a different set of rules.

Thanks to all for the info.

Use a smaller cooker and the cook times will be the same.

(ok, I'm just kidding)

Seriously though...well...I guess I have nothing to add. Cook them like chicken. Only not as long.
