Camp chef or otherwise, most of the pellet cookers put out similar flavor on the final product. Personally, I'm a fan. Some think it lacks flavor, but I think they are some of the most versatile equipment on then market. I know people with the camp chef, and have seen them in action. I think they are a great value pit. The lid is pretty flimsy would be my main negative thought. Other than that, they are pretty solid.
