With all the talk lately about cast iron, cooking, seasoning, smoking and everything else that goes on with our cast iron, show them off.

Show us what ya got!

This is an old piece, don't know who made it, no makers mark.

this is about 1/2 of mine and my brothers. Most are his. It's a sickness. I think we have more to refinish than we have that are ready to cook on.

WOW, is all I can say, that is a super nice collection.
Your'e right, it is a sickness. I'm constantly on the look out for different
pieces.
I like the pic, I'll dig all of mine out and get a group shot.

Thanks for posting.

holy fark!

I wish I had that collection. I don't have a ton, but all of mine are nicely seasoned at this point. I've probably got about 3 or 4 pieces that get really heavy use...like 3-4 times a week minimum, and they often see use 2 or 3 times in a day on the weekends.

Yep, you have the essentials. I like seeing your boy turning burgers, start em out young. That is a good start you have going on in the dutch oven

The 12" doing some blackening. Love it.

Searing hot cast iron, best way to blacken there is!

here is the great, great grandpa of kettles. Not sure what it was used for, but it's a great conversation piece.
We think it is a syrup kettle. It is cast iron.

Any Ideas?

The lid works great for the cover to my fire pit.

Couple old junkers in there, pitted real bad, also some decent pots
and pans.

I only have one - an enameled Lauffer skillet that I bought for my mom back in the 70's.

It hangs prominently in my kitchen -

I can't bring myself to taking it outside to the BBQ, it's too valuable. I need to go to WallyMart and get me a beater that can live oudoors.

That is a very nice pan, and in really good shape for its age.
The handle is different from any I've seen
Does it have a makers mark on it?

Yeah on the bottom - Lauffer Made In England. I guess they're not around any more, Google comes up with "vintage" on all the hits. Mom didn't use it much, she preferred the new fangled Teflon coated aluminum pans - The CI was too heavy for her.

Now it's mine...

Thanks for the info. I looked them up, they made some really nice stuff,
looks like they have a good value to them also.
