Finally got my Lang 84 back from getting sandblasted and repainted, had a few other things done too (pix on that to follow ). So today it had to fire the old girl up. Did some chicken leg quarters, corn on the cob and a rack of bb ribs. Sorry no action shots, but did get a sliced shot. Used oak and cherry wood. Took about 4hrs, no foil.

Love the results that I'vehad thus far with the Lang! These ribs were spot on, juicy and very tender. Got'em from Walmart too! Lol! Guess that somethings are good from Walmart.
Thanks for looking, see you next cook!

Ribs look great, perfect actually. Where's the cooker pics?

Them are some fine looking ribs there. Waiting on the pics here too

That is a big rig and great looking ribs. I was wondering if you cooked those ribs on the top or bottom shelf.

I am getting use to my RF Lang 36 Hybrid and find that I start out on the top shelf for butts and brisket then move them to the bottom shelf , after the meat heats up to about 160 IT.

With your 84 the shelves are a bit farther apart, so there might be more air flow given the larger drum diameter and therefore no noticeable difference.

I've used my Maverick to measure temp on the top and bottom grate at the same time, and the temps are very close to the same.

Ribs look good!

What paint did you use? I want to give my Langs a face lift.

BBQ_MAFIA: The guy that delivered my Lang gave me a can of spray paint, which is the same stuff used at the factory.

Info from the 12 oz. can:
Sumter Coatings RediSpray - High Heat Black Aerosol 430N3619

Sumter Coatings, Inc, 2410 Hwy. 15 South, Sumter, SC 29154

This number (stenciled like dot matrix) is also on the face of the can: 21504136
