Ham-n-Tatoes on the Drum

Nothing fancy, just some comfort food.

Smoked a store bought ham in the drum....

decided to go with a corn cob jelly/cayenne glaze...

made a quick smoked pepper jack, ham sandwich that night for supper..

The next night I made a basic white sauce with butter, scallions, garlic, half and half and seasonings...

layered a skillet with sliced potatoes, ham, onion and seasonings...

added cheeses, more ham and tatoes...

and the sauce...

into the drum to catch some smoke and get hot and bubbly...

That's it!

It was hot, smokey, gooey and comforting. Simple but tasty at the time.

Fantastic looking grub brother. Those store bought precooked hams are awesome double smoked. One of my favorites.

I keep looking out for a small ham to make bean soup cause I am scared I won't get the scraps on Christmas. That look awesome.
