Tired of shopping and searching. Finally made the leap to join the family. Wrote the check for a 24x36 Shirley. I didn't get any mods. But I work next door to a buddy's fab shop if I want something. I also sent a check for the drawing on Paul's united Way smoker. If I should be extremely lucky and end up with 2 smokers, I'll just have to suffer through it

Mine will be living under a covered patio, however it gets windy and snowy around here sometimes.

That smoker is pretty cool but I may be lame and technically challenged .... I cannot find pictures/information on the web site ... can find users youtube etc but nothing on the shirley fabrication. Is it my browser ? Just wanting to compare LGG/Shirley to get an idea

My Shirley 24x36 was delivered last Saturday,,,,
Sunday AM, Oiled her up and set her on fire to season her up for about 3 hrs.
Then I threw on a 3# fatty and 2 STL racks of ribs for a test run
I’m one happy Farker !!!!
Tried to down load some pics but they were sideways and I do not know how to edit them to be straight up,,,

Their (Shirley Fabrication's) website is really out of date; there isn't any information re; the 24 x 36 patio on it.
What do you wish to know about it?

I use a golf cart cover for mine as a temporary solution, until I'll be storing it in a back shed while not in use (currently under construction). It's not form-fitting like a custom-made cover, but it does the trick for now.

They fired their last web master and has not been updated for three years now and they are going to find another guy to run but are trying to get the new shop going first with a bunch of new tools to get orders out faster . The base 36 model is $1,975 and only has a few upgrade option like the shelf any thing else is considered a custom build with the longer wait time .

Thx for a the kid words and post.....Guys we are in the process of many things.... i spoke with Tyler about the site we are very aware that we need a new one and believe me it's coming....as is othe things too.... Tyler has closed on the shop.... bought a new industrial sandblaster.... 50 horse 3 phase compresser so once in the new shop all of our blasting will be done on site.... right now we have to load cookers up... carry to the refinery where i work,get them blasted, go back and pick them up.... its labor intensive ....things will change but we can't do it all in a day.... it is going to take time.... currenty waiting to get the three phase power upgraded to 800 amp.... and get evrything wired.....

BGE to Shirley 24x36
My 24x36 should be delivered within two weeks and I'm very excited and ready to season and fire it up. I think I'm going to part with my BGE as I only use it for slow and low cooks. All other shorter cooks I use my old reliable Weber kettle that I use lump charcoal in.

I've got the same setup with the 24x36 and the BGE. My last smaller cook I cooked a pork butt with sticks in the Shirley, wrapped, and then let it coast home on the BGE. I'd much prefer to cook the entire cook on the Shirley (which is wonderful), but sometimes I can't set aside that many hours for feeding sticks. It's a nice balance from my POV.

I'm jealous of some of y'alls patio setups. Wife doesn't want my Shirley on our back patio because the smoke filling the living room when the door opens. I can't find anyone willing to build a small slab in the back of my yard. Might have to rent a mixer and pull up YouTube and pour one myself.

I poured a slab for a shed I have on the side of the house. It's a pretty basic process. Rent the mixer from HD, materials are cheap. Put that daughter of yours to work. Have her put her initials and date in an inconspicuous area when you pour :grin:
Only recommendation is pour bigger than you think you need.
