Looked like a well-built cooker with welds in the right places and bolts where that could work ok (like on the exhaust).

Never seen this in Costco. Wonder how many folks will buy!

not bad. 11g is better than some of the OC smokers that are 14g with 11g doors. did it seem to have big gaps or did it look like it would not leak too bad?

With a little snooping around it is a Bayou Classic. Seems to have variations with spec very close to this.

SKU BYC 500-436

Material Steel

ColorBlack

Manufacturer Bayou Classic

All-Welded, Heavy 11-Gauge Steel (0.125")

1000 degree Exterior Heat Resistant Paint

Total Grilling Space: 1,034 sq in

Pit: 570 sq in

Firebox: 254 sq in

Warming Rack: 210 sq in

10 mm Wide Square-Bar Grill Grates

Side Ash Drawer with Adjustable Air Vent

Cool Touch Handles

Removable Front Shelf

I looked at it today. Baffle from the firebox only comes into the smoke chamber about 6 inches. It does have stops on the grate rails to allow them to slide out without tipping but the front shelf is too close to pull out the grates with the shelf up.

Does say 11g right on the box.

That's A Good Deal then. I'd put in a convection plate and bigger top shelf.

Especially when Costco starts discounting them at stores where they don't sell like they do with the kamados each season. $500, $400, $300?

One of You(s) needs to buy one and do a Good multi cook review thread........

Reminds me of my first HOS. Cooked a lot of good Q on that before the firebox rusted out (didn't know about ashes and water back then...)
