CC door opening

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope all ur smokes are going great. I am getting ready to out my cc door opening and have a quick question. I have divided my drum into 4s, say the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock are the top and bottom of the door. I think I was told by someone that after getting that dimension to measure 1" back from the 12 o'clock measure toward 11 and 1" below 3 o'clock toward 4. Is this what most do or just measure and cut at 12 and 3?

If I put on my Keskin hat and sit a Flying carpet like a Swami, I think he's building a Tx Habatchi and wants to know about cutting the door in the drum for a Cooking chamber, if so 12 & 9 o'clock.
