Pork Rib Rub?

Hello All, Happy Memorial Day week! I was trying to find a search box to look for links to Rib Rubs in this forum, but I can't seem to find it. Can some one give me an idea as to the best way to search within this site? Or send me a link to the proper topic? Thanks!

Basic BBQ Rub — Melissa Cookston

1 C turbinado sugar
½ C granulated sugar
½ C kosher salt
1 TBS onion powder
2 TBS granulated garlic
1½ tsp cayenne
1 tsp finely ground black pepper
2 tsp dry mustard
¼ C light chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin (see note)
¼ C plus 2 TBS paprika

Place the turbinado sugar in a coffee grinder and pulse until lightly powdered. Transfer to a small mixing bowl and add the granulated sugar, salt, onion powder, granulated garlic, cayenne, black pepper, dry mustard, chili powder, cumin and paprika. Stir until well incorporated. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month. (optional 1 TBS light chili powder 1 TBS granulated garlic)

Cumin note: Right before mixing any seasoning blends containing cumin, I like to lightly toast the cumin in a clean, dry skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes or until aromatic. This brings out the oils and really improves the flavor.

8 tsp paprika
3 tsp salt
3 tsp sugar
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp celery seed
1tsp chili powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne

BLU's All purpose BBQ rub

2 TB Lawry's seasoned salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dry mustard
2 TSP chili powder
1 TSP chipotle Powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 TSP celery salt
3 Tb sugar


Blu's Pork Rub for the BBQ Challenged

1 4 oz bottle Sweet Paprika
1/2 a 4oz bottle Sugar( what ever kind you have)
1/2 a 4 oz bottle of Kosher salt
1 Teasp celery salt
1 Teasp Granulated onion
1 Teasp Granulated garlic
1 Table sp Mrs Dash Lemon pepper
1/2 tsp (or to taste) Cayenne pepper
1 Teasp Ginger
1 Teasp mustard powder


Harry Soo's Slap Yo Daddy Rib Rub is a great rub that uses cumin:
1/2 cup kosher salt
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup paprika
1/4 cup chili powder
2 TBSP cumin

¼ cup canola oil


Loveless Cafe Dry Rub

6 ounces light brown sugar (1/2 of a 12-oz box)
3/4 cup granulated garlic
1/2 cup black pepper
1/4 cup dried thyme
1 cup oregano , fresh, chopped
1 cup seasoning salt (I use Loveless Seasoned Salt)
1/2 cup chili powder
1/8 cup celery salt
1/8 cup fennel seed
1/8 cup paprika
 
I recently found a use for some Slap Ya Mamma rub. I bought a bunch of it in bulk from Amazon and am going through it too slow, until now.

My parts are by volume not weight

2 Parts Slap Ya Mamma
2 Parts Brown Sugar
1 Part Paprika for nice red color

Tweak as needed, but this tastes pretty good to with little hassle and only a few ingredients to mix together
 
I like Mike Mills for some reason but have started using brown sugar instead of whit and next time am trying turbinado. Anyone try that before with Mike Mills recipe?
