The plans have been under way ever since moving to SW Florida. I needed a way to smoke full flavor using sticks in the winter until the heat and humidity make tending a fire outside in the summer untenable, then pellet fired makes more sense. The hopper is off a used Camp Chef Smoke Pro SE and the Bandera is a new unit. I upgraded the wheels (front ones swivel) and still need to add some felt gaskets around the firebox.

Everything went reasonably well for custom, however I did need to back the hopper 1 1/2" away from the vertical cook chamber to allow for room for the heat deflector inside.

Cheers!

Looks good! Is the plan to pull the pellet auger and fire pot out when running the stock firebox?
